Certifiably Black

About the Founder

I’m Katrina Perez, the founder of Certifiably B.L.A.C.K., a movement dedicated to building liberation through education, advocacy, and community connection. My passion for equity, social justice, and education has fueled my work as a consultant, speaker, and change-maker, helping schools, businesses, and organizations create truly inclusive and culturally responsive spaces. With over six years in equity, diversity, and inclusion work, I’ve led professional development, student empowerment programs, and systemic policy changes to support marginalized communities. I believe that small changes lead to big transformations, and I am committed to dismantling systemic barriers through action-driven solutions. Through Certifiably B.L.A.C.K., I’m creating spaces where Black voices are not just included, but centered. From developing anti-racist curriculum to launching the Liberation Festival, my mission is to cultivate a world where liberation isn’t just a concept it’s a lived reality.
Let’s build something powerful, together. Join the movement.
